Internet eXchange Point

Core activity - IXPs

Rezopole operates several Internet infrastructures also known as IXP (Internet eXchange Points) in the Rhône-Alpes Region: in Lyon (LyonIX) and in Grenoble (GrenoblIX). An IXP has a direct impact on the development of High-speed Internet.

Outside the region of Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes, Rezopole also intervenes in Strasbourg with EuroGIX.

The Beneficiaries

Our Internet eXchange Points are open to international, national, local operators and carriers. Large size or "webcentric" companies, municipalities and public services can connect their network to our IXP. Small and medium size companies, associations and citizens benefit from our IXP via their ISP (Internet Service Provider).

The NAP Option

Our IXP is also a NAP (Network Acces Point): Users can buy and sell traffic capacity to other present companies.
